How often should new baselines be recorded?

New exercise baselines should be recorded whenever a patient has made material progress in their recovery. For most patients, capturing new baselines every 2 to 4 weeks is ideal.

Updating patient baseline recordings.

To update an existing baseline recording, you'll follow the steps outlined in 10. Recording patient baselines, except that at step 5, the patient must tap Retry rather than tapping Record:

1. Connect patient to your Wifi.

2. Make sure patient has PT+ installed.

3. Use PT+ Clinic to activate Edit mode for the patient.

4. Make any desired edits to assigned exercises.

5. Using PT+, patient taps the Retry link on the exercise you wish to re-record.

6. Patient follows audio prompts and performs the exercise.

7. Repeat for additional exercises.

8. Save and exit.

Can a new baseline be recorded during a virtual follow-up appointment?

Yes. As long as you can see that the patient is doing the exercise correctly, a new baseline can be recorded during a virtual appointment.

PT+ and PT+ Clinic connect to Halterix independently using Internet connections. This means your patient does not need to be in the same room or on the same network as you in order for PT+ to work.
